Project Meet & Greet 2009!
alright, many, MANY of you have been constantly asking or randomly spurting out “i want a _____ meet”
well, it’s a new year, & a whole year’s worth of potential gatherings. i’ll be starting a new survey & reposting similar details & project goals.
please… read thru it all. directions are really clear & thought-out, & if read carefully, all the info is there. it’s tiring to see ppl demand a meet, when nothing can really happen if no one is willing to step up or not many ppl can come.
this time, i’ll be asking for anyone interested in lending a hand in this project to provide contact info so if any time there is someone interested in having a meet in that area, they can email that person directly. the more people on the list in that area, the more interested people in wanting to have a meet & go through with it, whether than people just wanting one. there is a difference. just because you want one, doesn’t mean you’d want to help make it happen. i’ve gotten so many people asking me “when will there be a ___ meet?” well honestly, we can all say that, but if no one can help form a plan, then there won’t be anything happening. so i feel this is the best way. basically, DO NOT leave me your info if you are NOT willing to commit to your area meet.
once there is enough people in the area who want a meet, you can then check in with me, & i can help you formulate a plan & post the details of your meet on the site. ALL DIRECTIONS WILL BE UNDER THE CUT.
i’m looking forward to a very good year of meets & hopefully more of you will join this time around.
PROJECT MEET & GREET 2009
-to gather all VIPz together & make new friends in all cities, states, and countries around the world.
-to tour & enjoy the sites of the beautiful city/state/country you live in, while hanging out with your newly made VIP friends.
As you have witnessed, there are VIPz EVERYWHERE around the WORLD, & i want BIG BANG to know that we’re here for them.
-these “meets” are set up to be casual meets, like how you’d meet up with a friend. i wouldn’t label it as official, just a meet-up.
-people participating should meet up at a public place, that way everyone is able to attend & find where the locations are. from there, who knows where you guys will venture!
-i’d try to avoid costly activities, unless you all agree to do the same thing.
-the meetings should be fun, enjoyable, and shouldn’t take up all day, unless you all agree to it.
–photography is a must! i think it’d be nice to document all our meets, thereby completing the project successfully. i eventually want to share all our experience with the other VIPz who aren’t able to attend.
-there is no age limit; i cannot stop you from going, but your inability to obtain transportation and/or your parents can.
WANT YOUR CITY TO BE ON THE LIST?
-the list is devised to make a CONTACT LIST of those in the area willing to help organize a meet. it’s not by demands or popularity, but just people who are serious & committed into attending & help plan the meet. the more emails, the more people interested in a meet. the goal is to stimulate a meet there & by putting your info up, you guys can talk amongst yourselves & plan out a meet & then let me know.
–if you want a meet in your area, & are willing to help organize & keep me up to date on the details of your potential meet, fill this out:
IDEAS ON THINGS TO DO & WHERE TO GO:
–send this info to me via email & title it: PMG2009
-i will then add you to the list & people can start emailing you.
FOR POTENTIAL HOSTEES:
–if i have emailed you, please email me back. it’s obviously important.
-if you are in the process of organizing a meet & greet, you must let me know. do not go ahead & organize this on your own; that’s why i’m here for you. i’ll need your information & plans just so i know what’s on the loop. also, we want this documented for the project, & not used as a personal objective.
-i would like you to stop passing around email addresses, as it makes the post confusing. just email me your info, & i will add you to the contact list.
FOR POTENTIAL PARTICIPANTS:
–ANYONE can join this project. as long as you have a ride TO & a ride BACK (or you can find another means of transportation, i.e. BUS/TRAIN/SUBWAY, etc) there’s no stopping ya!
-i’d keep some chump change just in case. things/ideas could just pop up & you might need to feed & support yourself. ^^
-if you have any ideas & would like to contribute in another way, you can email me too! i’d like to know what you’re thinking about.
-all project inquiries should be emailed to: email@example.com
-if you’re lucky enough to catch me while i’m online, i have:
^ these methods are preferred, as it is faster to contact me & relay information.
-anyone posting up email addresses anywhere on project posts, your comments will be deleted.
-there is no set number of people to have when forming a meet. you can have as little as 5 & still have fun. it’s just if you’re willing to make a plan, meet up, & have fun. just send me your details.
–my job is to relay your meet details to anyone out there who doesn’t know about it, then you could possibly have more people tag along.
-eventually, everything will be collected together into one project to be shown to BB.
i hope this time around it’ll be more organized & successful.
think of this as your indefinite RSVP ^_^

And I have tons of my friends who would love to help
Hi there again. (: The team and i are now in the midst of planning for the second meet! A few other VIPs have joined our team so as to be able to organize and plan more and better activities for this following meet. Because the previous meet was a success and some other missed it, which was a pity. We decided to plan the second meet. Details aren’t finalized yet but it would be around the 2nd or 3rd week of December. There would be more games this time, and with prizes of course! (straight from Korea) Just be prepared to lose loads of energy! (: I advice ya’ll to somehow learn the Heartbreaker dance, well, some parts. ><
And some other popular songs in Korea that the cheography is popular, like “Tell Me” or “Gee”.
I’m not gonna reveal what we’re having in store for you all, prepared to be surprized and have loads of fun!
Till then, we’ll see ya soon.
Contact me if you wish to be included, and if you previously attended the first meet, don’t worry, we will contact you.
We just need a rough estimation of “new” (by saying new, i means those who missed the first one) VIPs that are gonna join us.
I’d love to meet and see ya all there!

We’ve been having gatherings as a fanclub, as well as small meet-ups for a year and a half now (we had our 3rd major gathering last February 1 and celebrated our first anniversary as well), but I along other core members feel that there are many other Filipino VIPz who haven’t attended any of the meet-ups.
We know that a lot of Filipino VIPz visit and check the BigBangKorean site for the latest updates on BB, and if it’s alright with you, we at BigBang Philippines would like to participate in the Project Meet & Greet and hold a meet and greet here in cooperation with you guys.❤
Our objective of the meet: Getting involve with the BIG BANG community; understanding that there are girls, like me, who do care and support BIG BANG and the VIPZ <– especially.
if there are any advice please feel free to email me.
Central London. Perhaps meet in Leicester Square, or Picadilly Circus, or Trafalgar Square. These are all great central bases, with bangin’ Korean restaurants close by. I like the whole “let’s talk about big bang” thing because i’m not fussed about doin anything big; but i’m sure whoever turns up will make a joint decision on what to do there and then.

AMSTERDAM (Netherlands) MEET
– Noor @ firstname.lastname@example.org
-Depends also on weather but Meet up in a park, play pool, exchange music, picture anything of our boys, etc.. Korean restaurants are rare in Amsterdam =( just like cheap restaurants (besides dimsum, turkish and pizza lolz)… so any other suggestions =>very welcome ^^
I think the first few activities should be going out to eat, somewhere casual so we can have a chance to actually talk and get to know other members as well. After various activities, hopefully we can gain a better insight on one another. Then if no one objects, we can try to collaborate and meet with other members in other cities or towns.
I don’t know have many ideas now, but hopefully other people in my city can
come up with it as well.
From Angela: Towneast Mall, Firewheel Mall (has a movie theater, water fountain, like an outlet mall; not inside a building jux separate stores next to each other under the sun.) American Pizza..
-We should make song to BB composed by us bcoz GD likes to do it. it’ll b good idea if we have heavy inspiration from him. He’s gonna b happy with this surely! keke Then, also make MV too! @_@
– Tommy Yang from Appleton (he’s a guy) @ email@example.com
we can go to the Parks around here, we can rent places, pools, etc… WE can have games played related to Big bang, make ice cream, pictures, karaoke, and anything the VIPz want to do for the meeting
In Flushing, theres a part where it is well known as “Korean Town”. I’d like to host the group meet up here because of all the culture, history, and food here!
They have korean clothing brands, record stores, even pets! And I think this is going to be a great experience and
a memory to keep forever!
I would really like a meet to take place in the New York area, however I am not sure how much I am able to help organize this event. I can def. come up with ideas, meeting spots, and other things that are involved in teh plannign stages. However, due to my age and location, it is hard for me to get my parents approval and assistance, although it may be possible once a date has been set. My preferable day is a Saturday and I am not at home for most of the summer. however, I am deeply committed to starting a meet and hope that I am successful in doing so.
preferably, i would like to stay in chinatown/manhattan area
examples of possible activities
– picnic in central park
– times square (movies, dave and busters, m+ms world, and/or anything else in teh area)
– hanging out in chinatown and eating good food
– ex. bowling–we have team TOP vs team g-dragon…
The National Mall is always exciting. There are many places to see such as museums, monuments, and the zoo. Also there is no worrying about food because there are places to eat everywhere, from side carts to 5 star restaurants. I think it would be really nice for Big Bang to see the Nations Capitol. Also if they want to shop there is always George Town. Going to D.C. is also good because the metro is easily accessible and can take us many more places outside of D.C.
Metro’s easy accesible, so there are plenty of places to go. We could always head on over to DC’s Chinatown and enjoy a nice meal and then explore the National Mall. Plenty of places to shop, and tons of eateries! Even museums, even if they aren’t that entertaining, haha.

BRUSSELS / GLASGOW MEET
– Emma @ email@example.com
Brussels (untill August 2nd) BUT THEN I’m going to Uni next year in Glasgow, so Glasgow from the 1st September.
Brussels: we could go into town and shop around Cite Deux shopping mall… um…I live in Tervuren where there’s a really nice park that accessible by tram/metro/bus if people wanted a picnic…
don’t know of many Korean places really, just wanted to talk and meet other people! We might be able to find a Sushi restaurant somewhere…
Glasgow: I’ve only been there for a week max, spread out over three years so I’m not sure, but I know there’s a nice park thing near the University we could meet there maybe…and I’m sure there’s a sushi place around. We can shop around the Buchannan Galleries, and then along Suchiehall street too. PLUS I’ll get to know the city better once I’m there.
Extra: for the Brussels M&G, I speak french, so if you have any French speaking contacts, that’s fine with me. I get to practice my French ^^
Also, I’ll be coming back to Brussels for Christmas (2 wks) , and possibly November Half Term (1 wk)…
– B (Dragon Queen) from Arezzo/Florence/Rome @ firstname.lastname@example.org
Depends much on the location. Arezzo is rather small but there are enough coffee shops we can hang out in.
Rome and Florence are better locations and definitely we can find Korean places where we can eat something yummy. I can plan stuff in advance despite me not living neither in Rome or Florence but I know the cities decently enough to plan something. I can cook asian snacks, bring the laptop with me so we can watch BB stuff and everyone can bring their own DVD’s, CD’s and whatnot. Singing would definitely be in order and definitely some dancing ! I’m no shy on being silly if I’m around cool people with whom I feel at ease so I’d probably find something crazy to do even with very little.
All in all, we can decide on what to do on the spot, I’ll get around the big idea but I won’t have a set program, I don’t like rules😄, I’d rather we do spontaneous stuff. I first need to speak with people, if anyone is interested, and as soon as I get some details as to where everyone lives and what they enjoy doing, I can come up with something immediately.
I speak english, italian, romanian and some german so anyone who even happens to visit italy at that time is welcomed.
I’m doing this because it’s BB’s 3rd anni this year and I want this to be a present from all of us in the land down under. I’m still planning this with my other friend who’s possibly my co-organizer. We’re planning
1. Pepper Lunch (really yummy japanese restaurant. decently priced and good atmosphere)
2. Karaoke (there’s a place called SHOW which is a korean karaoke , should be fun)
3. Capitol (this is where we can take sticker photos)
– Shayla @ email@example.com
I think we could all just tour downtown. I also wanted to try and go to Ktowns of chicago because I have never been before. Then after sightseeing we can always go to a korean restaurant around town. I would just really like to meet fellow kpop and big bang fans in my area because it would be nice to be able to talk to people who are interested in the culture, music, language, and food. It’s Chicago so im sure we will find something to do.
– Chrissy from Kissimmee @ firstname.lastname@example.org
Im willing to work out different areas with anyone who hopefully lives by where I do (St. Cloud/ Kissimmee/ Orlando) area.
Well I know of a spot (“the loop”) that should be easy to find, w/ plenty of food & shop areas and I believe there could be like a mini-golf or bowling area near.
can you add YOUR name to the list?
